Roger Corman's 1962 Americanized redubbed version of the 1953 Russian opera Sadko. This version was edited and released to cash in on the then-current wave of imported sword and sandal fantasy epics making the rounds in American cinemas at the time, as well as the popularity of the "Sinbad" name. Apart from this dub, the film is entirely unrelated to the original Arabian Nights folktales revolving around the character of Sindbad The Sailor.
